4x4 wood project

Geometry.

This frame shows my progress with the wood project. We see triangles being weight down by several objects as the glue that holds them together dries. However, this photo is much more complex than that.

There are geometric shapes all through out the composition. Predominantly, the triangle. Repeating circles complement the sharp edges. Even on the left and rightmost sides, the tiles, add their support of geometry. The negative space balances the composition. It too consists of geometry. If you look at the corners, you'll notice that each is enclosed by a triangle.

Discovering this material, wood, has filled my head with ideas to produce in my upcoming projects. This is the first time I work with wood and though very challenging, I enjoy it greatly. Tedious is the right word to describe it.

The end result shall be beautiful.

    1. Perhaps another photograph from an angle that shows more depth.

Also, I've been thinking of the video you presented to Ralph and I, and remembered this piece by Janine Antoni: http://videos.nola.com/times-picayune/2008/11/tear.html

It's hard to hear in the video but there is a crashing sound every time the eye blinks.
