Dali-Goya

This past weekend I along with Christian visited the Dali-Goya exhibition at Centro Cultural Español. The work was very amusing.

It was a collaboration where Dali took Goya's sketchings and rendered then with his own touch. Adding sexual innuendos that played a comedic role in the work.

Goya's sketching are already bizarre. Juxtapose each sketching, Dali's rendering is displayed. When looking at both works simultaneously one can observe some sort of narrative that's provocative and enticing.

As I dissected Goya's work, I got an eerie feeling that took me to a mythical time during the late 1700s. Then I pivoted and Dali's hand grasped me. His hysterical rendition was extremely surreal; signature of his career.
I was very pleased with the work. I recommend that you experience it. It's fascinating.
