Underwater Life

This Photo collage is in response to Martha Rosler's work.

Rosler did a series of photomontages that expressed the how the war during the years 2000's affected life in America. This series of hers, exploited the ignorance of some people; it showed how people landslide lived their lives normally while being oblivious to the war taking place on the other side of the world.

My response, titled 'underwater life', though not a photomontage, is influenced by the before mentioned series. The current issue around the world is climate change. As Rosler explored social issues, I decided to respond to climate change. Depicted in the collage is an environment that exists underwater. This environment, is set in the future. If we, humans don't do much to help our planet, the rising sea levels will overtake us and we will be forced to live underwater.
